With their subscription product, this won't be an issue-as long as you're willing to pay. Quicken has discontinued several versions of its software. Quicken for Mac looks modern, but lacks robust planning and reporting tools. Quicken for Windows looks more outdated but has more functionality. The two versions are also quite different. There's no easy way to transfer your data from one version to the other. Quicken has Mac and Windows versions, but they aren't compatible with each other. It comes with a host of robust tools-plus, you don't have to lock yourself in with a subscription. If you're looking for a free way to manage your money, check out Empower. Instead of upgrading once every 3 years, users now have to renew every year to use the program. Since 2018, Quicken has switched to a yearly subscription model. If you had a copy of Quicken 2015, for example, you would no longer get updates or support after 2018. This eventually changed as Quicken started to discontinue their products after three years. Just pop in the floppy disk (remember those?) or CD and download the software to your computer. In its early days, one Quicken purchase would give you access to the program forever. But some users feel these could be signs of Quicken going downhill. Naturally, it's been through a few transformations. Processor 1: Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.Quicken has been in the business for nearly 40 years. Processor 0: Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.2GHz Looks like my signature block has not updated. You don't say if you have solved your problem but if not I highly recommend KMyMoney. I assume that you can export your MS Money files to QIF or preferably OFX to import into KMM. I also have a share portfolio in Quicken and was OVERJOYED to find that I can update stock quotes directly from. I have backed up and kept my Quicken files and can always open them IF I ever have to on one of the kids Win machines. I have not transposed my years of Quicken data preferring to start a new KMM file on 01 July with the account balances from Q2010 - also Quicken can no longer export files - only reports. I have installed KMyMoney, which was mentioned above, just last week and am very happy with what it does. Like you I have just installed Mint and was looking for a replacement for Quicken 2010. 12 years of banking records to be reloaded.
